through the frozen air
as i force my legs to take me step by step
closer to you while
you drift away, melting into the sky..
and i just need a change of scenery-
new trees that extend their arms to the sky
new buildings, new sidewalks on which you pass me by
but you'd still be the same and still stop my heart
i still wouldn't cry, but i'd still break apart...
the moment i left you the sky opened up
and my surroundings were consumed by white dust
but i was only consumed by
you, and
maybe i'm a snowflake that got lost on the way down
or maybe i'm just spinning into oblivion
because everything is colorless
when you're not around.
